Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter
  • 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (90g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 12 chocolate ice cream cones
  • 2 cups (300g) powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • Green food coloring
  • Halloween-themed sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Combine it with sugar, mixing well.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, whisking after each addition, then stir in vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow brownies to cool completely. Prepare witch hats by optionally dipping ice cream cone tops in melted chocolate and sprinkles.
  7. For frosting, mix powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and green food coloring until smooth. Spread over cooled brownies.
  8. Top with upside-down ice cream cones and add sprinkles as desired.
