  • 1 cup Canned Pumpkin Puree
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cloves
  • 1 egg (beaten for brushing)
  • Powdered Sugar (optional topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface or unroll pre-rolled pastry onto a lined baking sheet.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and spices until smooth.
  4. Spread the pumpkin filling over half of the pastry sheet, then fold it over and cut into strips about 1 inch wide.
  5. Twist each strip several times and place on the baking sheet with space between them.
  6. Brush with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Bake for around 20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  8. Cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar if desired.
