  • 4 ounces dark chocolate
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (170°C). Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with aluminum foil and lightly grease it.
  2. In a bowl, melt together butter and dark chocolate until smooth; stir in sugar.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt; mix until just combined.
  4. Pour half the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  5. In another bowl, combine pumpkin puree, evaporated milk, egg, vanilla extract, brown sugar, spices, and cornstarch; mix until smooth.
  6. Pour pumpkin filling over brownie batter; dollop remaining brownie batter on top.
  7. Bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the brownie layer.
