  3. Pour the hot candy mixture onto the lined baking sheet and spread evenly.
  4. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee and let them soften for 1-2 minutes before spreading into an even layer.
  5. Add finely chopped pecans on top of the melted chocolate and gently press them in.
  6. Allow the toffee to set at room temperature for about one hour.
  7. Once set, break into pieces and store in an airtight container.
