Instructions

  1. Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels.

  3. Generously rub the spice mixture all over the fish pieces.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Carefully place the seasoned fish pieces in the hot skillet. Ensure not to overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary.
  6. Cook for about 3–4 minutes per side until cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Once cooked, let it rest for a few minutes before flaking it with a fork.
  8. In a medium bowl, whisk together sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, lime zest, and minced garlic to create the lime crema.
  9. Stir in chopped fresh cilantro.
  10. Season lime crema with salt and black pepper to taste.
  11. In a large bowl, combine shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, thinly sliced red onion, and chopped fresh cilantro.

  13. Pour dressing over vegetables and toss well to coat evenly.
  14. Warm tortillas using one of three methods: in a dry skillet over medium heat, in the microwave wrapped in a damp paper towel, or in the oven wrapped in foil.
  15. Place slaw in the center of each tortilla generously.
  16. Top slaw with cooked fish; flake with fork if desired.
  17. Drizzle generously with lime crema.
