  • 1 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 2/3 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix flour and brown sugar. Cut in cold butter until crumbly, then press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. Evenly distribute pecan halves over the crust.
  4. In a small saucepan, melt butter with brown sugar over medium heat. Stir constantly until bubbly and cook for an additional minute.
  5. Pour the caramel mixture over the pecans and crust evenly.
  6. Bake in the oven for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top; let them soften before spreading into an even layer.
