  • 500g chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 200g mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
  • 2 cups cooked white rice

Instructions

  1. Cook rice according to package instructions until fluffy.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced chicken and cook until golden brown (5-7 minutes). Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, sauté onion and garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute). Add broccoli and mushrooms; stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. Return chicken to the pan; add soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and mix well. Pour in cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce.
  5. Serve the stir-fry over steamed rice.
